Meta is moving ahead with one of the biggest AI infrastructure investments in history, and Nvidia stands to be the biggest winner. Earlier this year, Meta announced it would increase capital expenditure to $115-$135 billion, up from $72.2 billion in 2025.

At the heart of this AI push is a multiyear, multigenerational strategic Meta Nvidia partnership, where Meta will set up large-scale data centers and deploy NVIDIA CPUs and millions of Nvidia Blackwell chips and Rubin GPUs, along with integrating Nvidia Spectrum-X Ethernet switches, according to the official press release.

Meta’s AI spending highlights how AI has become core to its business and operations. The tech giant has also integrated many AI capabilities across its social media platforms, like WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook.

This collaboration will help Meta scale its AI operations and workloads. Nvidia, on the other hand, strengthens its position as a leader in the AI hardware market, boosting the Nvidia growth forecast. According to The Motley Fool, revenue is expected to rise 53% in 2027, along with a 65% increase in earnings, taking earnings per share (EPS) to $7.759.

According to reports, after the deal was announced, Nvidia’s share price rose by 2.2%, while that of its competitor, AMD, fell by 1.4%. Arista Networks’ share, which manufactures switching products, fell 2.5% the day after the announcement.

Over the past six months, Nvidia’s stock has shown volatility. But ever since the partnership was announced, it has largely followed an upward trajectory.

Talking about the Meta Nvidia partnership, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said,

“We’re excited to expand our partnership with NVIDIA to build leading-edge clusters using their Vera Rubin platform to deliver personal superintelligence to everyone in the world.”

Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, shed more light on the partnership and how it will unfold.

“No one deploys AI at Meta’s scale — integrating frontier research with industrial-scale infrastructure to power the world’s largest personalization and recommendation systems for billions of users. Through deep codesign across CPUs, GPUs, networking and software, we are bringing the full NVIDIA platform to Meta’s researchers and engineers as they build the foundation for the next AI frontier.”

The partnership also marks the first large-scale deployment of Arm-based NVIDIA Grace CPUs. These will be used in Meta data centers. The two giants are also planning to deploy the more energy-efficient NVIDIA Vera CPUs in 2027.

As more and more companies are investing heavily in AI, the Meta Nvidia partnership will aid both. With the multiyear, multigenerational strategic collaboration, Meta will accelerate its own AI ambitions, while Nvidia will emerge as the backbone of AI infrastructure growth.
