The Ripple Blockchain Upgrade Brings New Functionalities for the Blockchain

The upcoming XRP Ledger Upgrade, labelled xrpld 3.3.0, includes five amendments that will first be submitted for validator voting before they can go live. The users are keenly looking forward to two rectifications that were earlier scrapped by the ecosystem, which are now being reintroduced. These components are the revised versions of Batch and Permission Delegation. These two changes were earlier withdrawn after the developers found critical bug anomalies in their structure. The Batch option allows multiple XRP Ledger transactions to be grouped into a single submission, improving transaction efficiency. Permission Delegation allows users to authorize specific account actions without handing over full control of their wallet.
This release also includes several other additional protocol improvements. The blockchain ecosystem is also strengthening privacy features in tokens by introducing Confidential MPT. The upgrade will also introduce a Sponsored Fees option. This will allow third parties to pay transaction fees on behalf of users. Other than that, the XRPL 3.3.0 upgrade will also introduce Dynamic MPT, making multipurpose tokens more flexible by allowing issuers to update certain token properties.

What Does It Mean For XRP Ledger And XRP Price?
The new Ripple blockchain upgrade coincides with the growing XRP adoption wave. According to XRP Ledger network data shared by Whale Alert, the addition of 489,739 new accounts successfully expresses how loyal users are to the XRP adoption mechanism. As far as the XRP price rally is concerned, these changes do not immediately impact XRP’s price. But they often support and help prepare a base for its price to rally in the future.
Consistent blockchain upgrades and account ramp-up may ultimately help the XRP price rally take shape. According to CoinCodex’s latest forecast, XRP may hit a new price of $1.20 by the end of August 2026.
The portal later adds that the asset may hit $3.40 by the year 2030.
“XRP is forecasted to hit $ 1.25 by the end of 2026 (+17.56%) compared to current rates), $ 3.48 by 2030 (+226.18%) $5.17 by 2040 (+384.55%), and $ 8.61 by 2050 (+707.57%). All values represent end-of-year price estimates according to our models.”
