Crucial Topics of Discussion for the Trump-China Summit

Trump left the US on Tuesday as the war against Iran continues, and the latest CPI report revealed that inflation is up. However, none of those were worries to the President, according to quotes he gave to reporters. Trump has said he “doesn’t think about Americans’ financial situation” when it comes to his war on Iran, as preventing Tehran from having nuclear weapons takes precedence.
When asked by a reporter to what extent the economic situation in the US, where inflation is rising, was motivating him to make a deal with Tehran, he responded:
“Not even a little bit.” “The only thing that matters when I’m talking about Iran: They can’t have a nuclear weapon,” he said.
Instead, the White House has said Trump will ink “more good deals on behalf of our country,” during his visit to China. These deals will most likely focused on agriculture, energy, and aerospace. Further, discussions of tariffs between the US and China will likely also be a trending topic. China is also dealing with its own consequences of the US-Iran war and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Therefore, that will surely be up for discussion during the Trump-China summit.
